Treatment Plant Manager
West Sound Utility District, Port Orchard, WA is seeking qualified applicants for the position of “Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager”. The Plant Manager is a highly responsible administrative and supervisory position, responsible for the administration of the wastewater treatment facility (jointly owned by the District and City of Port Orchard), directing and supervising the activities of personnel engaged in facility operations, maintenance and associated programs.
The District provides a highly competitive compensation and benefits package available to all eligible employees. The following is a summary of the salary and benefits for this position:
Salary Scale: $106,749.74 - $129,754.98 Annually DOE
Holidays: 12 paid holidays
Annual Leave: 16 hours per month
Sick Leave: 8 hours per month
Retirement: Washington State PERS System
Health Care Benefits: $1,300 per month toward medical, dental, vision & life benefits
HRA VEBA Health Reimbursement Agreement
License/Certification Fees Paid by the District
WA PFML- Employee Portion Paid by the District

Requirements |
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma.
Completion of college or applicable course work in a related field of study is preferred. A bachelor’s or associate degree in Environmental Studies is desirable.
Certifications: Valid Washington State Group IV Wastewater Operator
Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in wastewater plant operations, including leading a team environment and three (3) years of supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would be expected to provide job-related competencies.
