The Opportunity: SCADA Technician
The
Alderwood Water & Wastewater District (AWWD) is looking for a SCADA professional with technical skills to fill a SCADA Technician opening in the Maintenance & Operations Department
. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting preventative and corrective maintenance on the District SCADA system, telemetry & communication equipment, instrumentation, programmable logic controller (PLC), and our process control systems.
This position requires any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the job. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be two years of progressively responsible experience in SCADA system maintenance, PLC’s, instrumentation, and or two years of higher education in instrumentation, industrial automation and controls, engineering, or relatable field. A valid Washington State Driver’s License is required. Electrical certification at least at the level of an (06) Limited Energy Systems or higher is desirable.

The pay range for this position is
$44.62 - $59.81 hourly, with a starting pay range of
$44.62 - $51.67 dependent upon experience and qualifications. After successful completion of probation, the selected candidate has the ability to work toward an internal promotion to Senior SCADA Technician.
