The Mukilteo Water and Wastewater District (District) seeks a dynamic and motivated Utility Worker to join our team in the Operations Department.

Mukilteo Water and Wastewater District has a service area of 8.3 square miles within the City of Mukilteo, the City of Everett, Unincorporated Snohomish County, and Paine Field Airport. We provide essential water and wastewater services to our community of approximately 28,000 customers.

Position
The District seeks a motivated individual to join our team as a Utility Worker. The successful candidate will perform manual and semi-skilled labor within the Operations Department while operating various hand, power, and mobile tools.
Utility Workers typically work as part of a team but may have individual or specialized assignments. This position is also responsible for after-hours call-out and emergency work. Utility Workers pay close attention to the safety and protection of our customers, fellow personnel, and equipment to ensure our system’s safe and efficient operation.
Essential duties include installing, servicing, and repairing water and wastewater facilities; repairing water and sewer line leaks; flushing water systems; installing valves and setting meters; and responding professionally and courteously to customer inquiries.
Depending on experience and qualifications, the successful candidate will fill one of the following positions:
Utility Worker I $6,264 - $7,997
Utility Worker II $6,701 - $8,559
Utility Worker III $7,107 - $9,158
Salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications and assigned to the appropriate classification (I, II, or III).
