Customer Account Specialists to join the Customer Accounts Team. The Account Specialist is a customer-focused professional who provides excellent customer service and account management for District ratepayers. These are full-time positions as an
Assistant Account Specialist or
Account Specialist, depending on qualifications and experience. Exciting opportunity for an aspiring and experienced customer service professional at a local, growing utility that strategically invests in its employees.
The ideal candidate possesses the following competencies along with a desire to work in and serve their community:
- Professional – Apply comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of customer service and utility billing
- Communication – Clearly and concisely express yourself and effectively convey information, both orally and in writing
- Collaborative – Develop and maintain professional relationships and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and with diverse interests
- Critical & Analytical Thinking – Use logical thought processes to analyze information and draw evidence-based conclusions
- Detail Oriented – maintain sustained attention to detail
Primary Responsibilities (Depending on Placement):
- Provide professional service and support to customers and stakeholders
- Answer, research, respond to and resolve customer inquiries
- Daily receipting and batching of customer payments
- Utility billing, account collections, and side sewer permitting
- Residential rate program enrollment and verification
- Maintain accurate and organized customer account data and records
- Reconcile various accounts receivables sub ledgers to the general ledger
- Mange the District phone system, answering service and central customer service email
Salary range:
- Assistant Account Specialist - $4,205 to $ 5,497 per month
- Account Specialist - $4,905 to $6,412 per month
Starting salary range (DOQ):
- Assistant Account Specialist - $4,205 to $4,808 per month
- Account Specialist - $4,905 to $5,608 per month
