Utility Specialist
West Sound Utility District, Port Orchard, WA is seeking qualified applicants for the position of “Utility Specialist”. The Utility Specialist is an entry-level to journey level utility worker position assisting in the construction, maintenance and operation of the District’s water and sewer utility systems. An employee has upward mobility potential to fill various Utility Specialist Positions. The elevated positions require higher degrees of responsibility and provide for increased salary compensation based on obtained certifications combined with demonstrated and required experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. This is a full time, non-union position.
The following is a summary of the benefits and 2025 position salaries:
Utility Specialist Trainee: $4,717.64 -- $5,734.32 per month
Utility Specialist I: $5,201.20 -- $6,322.09 per month
Utility Specialist II: $5,734.32 -- $6,970.10 per month
Utility Specialist III: $6,322.09 -- $7,684.54 per month
Holidays: 12 paid holidays
Annual Leave: 10 hours per month
Sick Leave: 8 hours per month
Health Care Benefits: $1,300 per month toward medical, dental, vision & life benefits

License/Certification Fees Paid by the District
WA PFML- Employee Portion Paid by the District
