The Opportunity: SCADA System Specialist
The
Alderwood Water & Wastewater District (AWWD) is looking for a SCADA professional to fill our SCADA System Specialist opening in the Maintenance & Operations Department
. Incumbent will engineer, develop, integrate, and maintain the District’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and Operational Technology (OT) hardware and software. Will also provide focus efforts of system analysis, development, cyber security, and assist in the continuous improvement of SCADA system and OT technologies.
This position requires any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the job. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be two years of progressively responsible experience in system integration, maintaining DCS or SCADA systems, PLC programming, OT administration, instrumentation and Process Control technology and two years of higher education in Computer Science, Engineering, Instrumentation, Industrial Automation or a relatable program. A valid Washington State Driver’s License is required. Electrical certification at least at the level of an (06) Limited Energy Systems or higher is desirable. Ability to earn advanced certification in networking or security, such as Cisco entry CCT or Associate CCNA or CompTIA, within two years of appointment is required.
This position is represented by WCCCE, Local No. 1811A, AFSCME, AFL-CIO. A valid Washington State Driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required for all classification levels. The pay range for this position is
$39.70 - $53.22 per hour (with starting pay of $39.70 - $45.98), dependent upon experience and qualifications.
The Alderwood Water & Wastewater District provides an array of employee benefits that we feel contribute to an overall desirable compensation package for employees.
