Safety & Health Coordinator
Clark Regional Wastewater District is seeking an experienced
Safety & Health Coordinator. An experienced, full-time safety professional with technical expertise in development, management, and implementation of health, safety and environmental programs and initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational or Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience as a full-time safety and health professional, including two (2) years administering and delivering safety and health programs in an industrial operations and maintenance or construction setting; wastewater treatment plant experience preferred
- At least one of the following professional certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Occupational Safety Specialist, or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and administering all aspects of industrial and occupational safety and health programs and initiatives
- Drive performance improvement and strengthen the safety and health culture at the District
- Identify systemic Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) gaps, develop corrective measures and implement solutions to sustain compliance
- Identify training gaps and requirements and develop and deliver an effective training program for all employees and contractors
- Develop, conduct, and update Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
- Perform annual safety and health legal and regulatory audits, inspections and reviews
- Inspect and evaluate workplace hazards, environments, equipment and practices, including conditions that could affect employee safety, health, comfort and performance
Salary range: $6,997 to $9,147 per month
Starting salary: $6,997 to $8,000 per month DOQ
