About Us

Since 1961, the Washington Association of Sewer & Water Districts (WASWD) has been providing education, advocacy and collaboration for Special Purpose Water and Sewer Districts throughout the state. By uniting their voice and championing their needs, we support Districts in providing safe drinking water and environmentally responsible wastewater collection and treatment in the most informed, efficient, and effective manner possible.

Our strength lies in the combined expertise and involvement of our members-enabling Special Purpose Districts to remain at the forefront of the industry, while ensuring effective operations, appropriate regulatory and legislative representation, and enhanced access to funding opportunities.
Our mission is to advance the work of sewer and water districts through education, advocacy, and collaboration.
